Excetional effects such as contact detonations, gunfire or high-velocity impact loads caused by the impact of an object cause local damage in reinforced concrete and steel fiber concrete components. The resulting tensile stresses on the load-opposite side very quickly exceed the dynamic concrete tensile strength and debris bursts or becomes a threat to people and property.
