Abstract:
The development of the collisional-radiative model (CRM) based on the non-maxwellian electron energy distribution function (EEDF) is performed. The solution of the Boltzman equation for weakly ionized plasmas typical for the low power electrical thrusters in calculated. The substantial difference between the calculated and maxwellian EEDFs is shown. The CRM is applied for the diagnostics of a radiofrequency (RF) inductively coupled plasma source. The results are compared to the plasma parameters obtained with the Langmuir and emissive probe techniques. Discrepancies are discussed. «
