Problem solving has always taken place in the context of spatial distribution. Nevertheless, telework, telecooperation and globally distributed telecommunities are often said to be new phenomena that can be seen as strategic building blocks for overall organizational change initiatives. This paper clarifies the role of telecooperation for strategies of organizational innovation. It presents experiences from the economic evaluation of a broad range of pilot projects in the field of workplace innovation, process innovation as well as overall organizational innovation. It shows the economic effects that can be expected from different project designs and the barriers that organizations have to overcome in order to gain sustainable economic advantage from distributed organizational forms. Thus it can build a valid basis for discussing the relevance of telecooperation for the Tunisian economy.    «
