The second edition of the seminar "Internet Economics II'' deals with the use of Internet technology and additional ways to support and do business. Starting the talks, a view onto an open market for access networks has been prepared, which addresses technology-wise the competing alternatives and a mobility view on users. In addition, the current state of current mobile commerce sector is addressed in the second talk on its analysis and outlook. The third presentation investigated peer-to-peer systems and started a comparison with a more centralized approach, enlisting a discussion on the economics of such networking scenarios and their respective use. Furthermore, an application-driven view point of Internet communications has been worked out with respect to the use of Voice-over-IP and the current approaches of harmonization efforts between the H.323 and the SIP protocols as well as their respective standards. Finally, the content charging talk investigated the potentials on content offered in the Internet and addressed important mechanisms, which enable various forms of the payment for such content in an electronic fashion.
