Abstract:
At the Munich 15 MV tandem accelerator a new two stage microprobe system Supraleitendes Nanoskop für Angewandte Kernphysikalische Experimente (SNAKE) is currently under construction. In contrast to existing facilities, it is projected to focus up to 30 MeV protons as well as heavy ions with maximum energies of 200 MeV q2/A to a submicron beam spot.
