Using ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) to support the tedious work of creating programming exercises seems obvious and helpful. This paper explains in detail the experience of working with the the artificial teaching assistant ChatGPT. The usage for the creation of lab assignments for a bachelor and a master level course is described, followed by the evaluation of the powerful yet not flawless tool for this specific use case.
