Abstract:
This study addresses the effects of laminate design on the damage and failure behaviour of carbon-fiber reinforced composites with varying ply thicknesses and stacking configurations under cryogenic temperatures. The aim was to observe the ultimate tensile performance and in-situ onset of damage at 296 and 77 K environments, combining microscopy and simulation analyses.
