Owners are often faced with the question which project delivery model suits their project best. There is a multitude of different organizational forms, contracts and thus also possibilities for delivering projects. In addition, the right form of contracting must be found for the project. There are many options in the selection of the project manager, the planners and construction companies as well as their contracts and the appropriate tender and award process. To support the owner, there are software solutions that help to show the right choice or solution option. The tools have programming languages and different decision logics. The paper will use systematic explorative research to find all software solutions and analyze them in a structured way. The platform (desktop or cloud) will be examined, the scope, the structure and the decision logic will be shown. Furthermore, the processes that lead to the decision-making will also be presented and compared. In addition, other criteria will be identified to support the selection of project delivery models. It will also be investigated whether all project delivery models and contracts have been considered in the tools. The information is collected and presented by means of charts. Finally, an evaluation of the different tools will be made. Subsequently, suggestions will be developed on how the search for the project execution model can be improved plus the way in which the model is found can be made more efficient.
