In this thesis, different broadband antennas and systems are investigated for current and future communication standards. In current automobiles, the demand for multimedia and wireless applications is growing. In order to realize this demand, an increasing number of antennas have to be integrated into one system and have to operate without performance degradation. This work deals with novel antennas for automotive applications in the sub-6 GHz and 24.25-29.5 GHz range. The focus is on the integration of these antennas into current automotive communication and navigation systems. Since the aesthetics of the vehicles play an important role, these systems must be placed in embedded mounting positions. The sub-6 GHz antennas shall have a compact structure and several communication services LTE/5G/V2X shall be covered by one radiator. A terrestrial antenna up to 6 GHz is implemented for integration in an embedded mounting position and requires no discrete impedance matching at a low overall height of 3 cm. The high bandwidth in the upper 5G frequency band is covered by a phase-controllable collinear array antenna arrangement. The antennas fulfill the scattering parameter and far-field characteristics in their frequency bands. The compact integration of the 5G-array antenna in current systems shows no mutual electromagnetic interference due to the specially tuned antenna structures in the system.     «
