Abstract:
In this paper we propose a module based approach to describe perceptual capabilities on airborne platforms. It is shown how low level processing steps can be combined to Perception Modules. Furthermore these modules can be connected to a Perception Chain to solve more complex tasks in the domain of surveillance and reconnaissance missions. We present how information about such capabilities and related requirements for perception tasks can be represented. In order to describe the perceptual capabilities and their logical connection, we apply semantic ontology modelling methods. «
