Abstract:
Large Eddy Simulations (LES) of film cooling flows were conducted to investigate the impact of high turbulence intensity in the main flow, representative of jet-engine combustor conditions. A comparison was made with LES simulations at zero turbulence at the main flow inlet boundary.
